About Tigh na Breac

Tigh na Breac is situated on the shores of Loch Etive at historic Bonawe. Oban and the district Argyll are exceptional locations for holidays, with so many activities and interesting places to visit, from Abbeys to Wildlife Sancturies, and white-water kayaking!

Argyll is a beautiful county with stunning countryside where lovers of outdoor activities and nature will find plenty to occupy and interest them - such as diving, kayaking, sailing, hill-walking, fishing and golf all within easy reach of the house.

Located about 20 minutes drive from Oban, on the shores of Loch Etive, 8 miles from the famous Falls of Lora and the Connell Bridge (built in 1903) Tigh na Breac is at historic site Bonawe, which still has an active granite quarry, and over the loch is the site of the Bonawe Iron Furnace, which utilised the resources of locally produced charcoal to smelt iron ore and make 'pig iron'.
